Tamara Kissel
Controller
Tamara joined the Damascus team as an encore-career choice. After selling a successful business that she operated with her husband for nearly 25 years, she took some time off to reset and prepare for the next step. After many years of business ownership, Tamara was ready for something completely different. She felt it was important to put her skills and experience to work for the “greater good.”

As the Damascus Controller, Tamara manages the organizational financials and interacts with the Damascus workforce and correctional partners. She loves the mission of Damascus and the incredible impact its mission makes on people’s lives. Tamara believes that when we seek His guidance, God places us in just the right place at the right time.
Forever a University of Cincinnati Bearcat, Tamara enjoys travel adventures with her husband and two adult daughters. Her other interests include most outdoor activities, reading, and interior design.
